Property Design Team Winners at Industry Awards Night!

The Local Authority Building Control, West Midlands Building Excellence Awards were held at the Telford International Centre, Shropshire on Friday 7 June 2019. There were over 200 guests in attendance from across the industry including Entrust and Staffordshire County Councils Framework Contractor Fords of Blythe Bridge who were the builders of the projects.

Every year the LABC Building Excellence Awards showcase buildings and design teams that have faced complex technical or construction issues and building site constraints. The awards also celebrate the success of innovative, smart solutions

Winners automatically go into the National Grand Finals which will be held on Friday 8 November 2019 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.

Our congratulations go to all members of the design team from Property and Fords of Blythe Bridge!

Winner Best Educational Building: Walton Priory Middle School, Stone.

Project designer Jonathan Cooper led the team that delivered the £1.1 million clean bold design which provides a fresh new image to the front of the school and four new classrooms.

Winner for Best inclusive Building: Christ Church Academy, Stone

Project designer Bethany Lees led the team that delivered the £200k Dining Hall Extension and refurbished infrastructure.

Finalist for Best Public Service Building and Best Change of Use of an Existing Building: Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Transport Depot, Trentham Lakes, Stoke on Trent

Although pipped to the top trophy’s by very tough competition on the night, Project designer Mark Lockley led the team that delivered a £900k extension and remodelling of Fire Authority Workshops.
