The National Cyber Security Centre and Law Enforcement have identified a significant increase in “cyber attacks” occurring against schools, colleges and academies and are delivering two Webinars specifically to the Education Sector in order highlight the current risks that Cybercrime poses specifically to the education sector and how to mitigate these risks.

The first session “Tackling the Cyber Threat in Education:SLT” will provide leaders with a simple checklist following this webinar so that they can go away and ask some questions of their IT Departments or Managed Service Partners who deliver IT services to them. We are then encouraging those who deliver IT services to come to a second session which will be more technically focussed.

The second session “Tackling the Cyber Threat in Education: IT Staff” will highlight some of the common pitfalls observed by Law Enforcement based on their extensive engagement with historical victims of Cybercrime within the education sector. We will highlight the risks that Ransomware, Fraud and Insider Threat poses using real life examples.

These sessions are Free to attend and will be a valuable resource to those working within in education. You will need to register using the links below in order to receive the invite to the Microsoft Teams Live Event.
