Laches Wood

Laches Wood boasts a rich mix of natural beauty and woodland shelter, with a wide range of indoor and outdoor adventure activities that will stretch and challenge – having fun, nourishing mind and body, and making memories to last a lifetime.

Get active, have fun, and make memories
At Laches Wood, not only do we have modern and comfortable dormitory style accommodation, but we’ve also got a wide range of year-round adventure activities including a high ropes course, bike trails and indoor climbing and tunnel systems. Offsite adventures include sailing and paddle sports at a nearby reservoir and journeys through the Shropshire Hills.

Standon Bowers

A home for young people and the outdoor life since 1885, Standon Bowers is steeped in history and surrounded by beautiful English countryside offering outstanding outdoor learning opportunities. A truly unique, historical venue that you will want to return to time and again!

Historic past, modern day facilities
Whilst boasting an historic past, the facilities and activities at Standon Bowers are definitely of today, including a state-of-the-art BMX track designed by Olympic specialists, a high ropes course and some great accommodation options to suit a wide range of needs. Offsite adventures include climbing and ‘scrambling’ at the world-class Roaches and underground exploration beneath Alderley Edge.
